Yaggfu Front
For the Longest, Yaggfu was the only Hip Hop act making noise out of North Carolina.
They were the first N.C. based group to be signed to a major label(Mercury). Members,
Spin 4th, D'Ranged & Damaged and Jingle Bel released their album, "Action Packed Adventure"
a fun album that seems to be out of print at the moment.

Pharoahe Monch and Prince Po were once known as Simply Positive Mcs.
The group originally began with Prince Po was the Mc and Pharoahe was
the producer. The pair were able to get their demo produced by the legendary
Paul C. Organized signed a deal with Hollywood Basic. Promotions for their
1st LP :Self Titled and Stress: Extinction Agenda were sub par. Their 3rd LP,
Equinox was released on Priority Records September 1997 with a lackluster
reception from the masses. Today both Emcees have thriving touring schedules
and established Hip Hop industry names.

This cut comes from It Takes a Nation of Millions, as of now, still the
Greatest Hip Hop Album ever created. Black Steel in the Hour of Chaos documented
the struggle of the Black Man to stay out of Prison. The American prison system
however was designed with the Black Man in mind. With that said, the slightest infraction
caused by a hungry man would land him in the can.
